Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island employees and agents protect the privacy and confidentiality of our members' healthcare information through administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. We maintain, use and disclose confidential health information as permitted or required by applicable state and federal laws, such as the Rhode Island Confidentiality of Health Care Communications and Information Act, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
