Medicare FAQs

No, you cannot be enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan (such as BlueCHiP for Medicare) and a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) at the same time. If you do enroll in both, you will be disenrolled from your original plan. For example, if you are in a BlueCHiP for Medicare plan (with or without drug coverage) and you enroll in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (during a valid enrollment period), you will be disenrolled from your BlueCHiP for Medicare plan.
 

Yes. You can enroll in Blue Cross Dental Direct if you have a BlueCHiP for Medicare individual plan or Plan 65. (Note: Members of Group BlueCHiP for Medicare cannot enroll in Blue Cross Dental Direct because their plan includes some dental coverage.)
 

Yes, if your BlueCHiP for Medicare or Plan 65 plan has a monthly premium, you need to pay both the Medicare Part B premium and your plan premium.

No, you cannot have a Medigap plan when you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan.
